Careers in the Arts Professional Development Workshop: Best Practices for Creating & Marketing Your Artwork

OAL’s own Esther Hall and Stephanie Rond of the Carnegie Gallery in Columbus will discuss the best practices for professional artists in terms of promoting and developing artwork.

This Professional Development Workshop, located at Wild Goose Creativein Columbus, will address the difference between an Artist CV and Resume; how exhibitions are accepted and ways to enter; why being part of an organization such as OAL, Creative Arts of Women, or VSA Ohio are important and beneficial to an artist; and how social media has changed the way we access the arts. This workshop is geared towards artists withandwithout disabilities, art facilitators, and their staff.

Social Media Symposium Workshop


Learn to better market yourself as an individual artist in the second installment of the Ohio Art League’s Professional Workshop series, “Social Media.” Follow along with presenters Walter Herrman, Jeff Regensberger, and Donna Estep as they guide you through social networking platforms such as Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, and others to determine which is the right fit for your brand. 

Attendees are encouraged to bring laptops as free WiFi will be offered during the presentation for easy guidance.
