Since 1910, Ohio Art League and it’s annual juried shows have been the backbone of the organization’s artistic programming, showcasing contemporary work by Ohio artists.

Visual artists, 18 years of age or older who live in the state of Ohio, are eligible for entry in the Ohio Art League’s Spring Juried Exhibition. Awards will be determined by juror selection after installation of artwork. Awards will be announced at the reception.

Exhibition runs: September 8 – October 15, 2015

Christopher Burk is not only a member of Ohio art League, but an artist at Tacocat Cooperative.

Tacocat Co-operative consists of a dozen artists and entrepreneurs working in the Columbus, Ohio area. Located in Grandview this artist cooperative and gallery is focused on exhibiting quality artwork by professional and emerging artists.

CCAD has two current job openings: Vice President for Marketing and Communications and Vice President for Institutional Advancement.

Vice President for Institutional Advancement Summary:

The Vice President for Advancement is responsible for designing and implementing integrated

institutional advancement programming to significantly increase the College’s constituent involvement and

philanthropic support. The Vice President must have strong organizational, supervisory, and leadership

capabilities and be able to lead the successful solicitation of gifts. The Vice President supervises the

following areas in line with these priorities: corporate and government grants, alumni and staff giving,

major donor gifts, the annual fund, and development and implementation of the College’s next

comprehensive campaign. Working in partnership with the President and Board of Trustees, the Vice

President is a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who serves as an active participant in making strategic

decisions affecting revenue generation and advancing the position of the College.

Vice President for Marketing and Communications Summary:

The Vice President for Marketing and Communications leads his/her team in promoting,

enhancing and communicating the value of the College to all relevant constituents in support of CCAD’s

strategic goal to be nationally recognized in providing exceptional educational experiences of value to

both graduates and society. Leveraging brand-building strategies that utilize various platforms, the goal

of the Vice President is to drive messaging that enhances geographically-diverse enrollment and

philanthropic support.

Ohio Citizens for the Arts Foundation

Ohio Citizens for the Arts Foundation, in partnership with the Ohio Arts Council, offers a unique community service opportunity for high school students in conjunction with Ohio’s annual Arts Day and Governor’s Awards for the Arts in Ohio. Six high schools from around the state will be chosen to send a team of ten students to Columbus to serve as student advocates. These students will participate in a range of activities highlighting the value and importance of the arts and arts education as a part of a complete curriculum. This is a valuable opportunity for your students to participate in the democratic process in a way that is personally meaningful to them.

You are invited to express your interest in having your students participate in Arts Day 2014 to be held in Columbus on Wednesday, May 21st. Please respond by writing a brief statement of your interest in participating and what you hope to achieve through the student advocates program by November 22, 2013 via email, fax, or US mail (contact information can be found at the close of this message). High school selections will be made by the end of November from those indicating their interest to participate.
