Pecha Kucha Nights are informal and fun gatherings where creative people get together and share their ideas, works,
thoughts — just about anything, really — in the PechaKucha 20×20 format.
Strongwater is open to the public at 5:00pm, and the event begins at 7:00pm with folky and soulful singer
Erika Hughes, followed by presentations starting at 7:30.
Each speaker will follow the international Pecha Kucha format of showing 20 images and speaking about each image for 20 seconds. Presenters include: Amy Kesting, the Pizzuti Collection; Addie Cheges, illustrator & designer/Mute & Gold; Esther Krupp, industrial designer; John Lynch, artisan soda-maker/Rambling House Soda Pop; Randy Sharma, RockDocOhio/Project Zero/Physician, Activist; Chet Ridenour, car2Go/ Short North Civic Association; and Donald Isom and the I AM DANCE team. The event will be emceed by none other than drag queen, and one of Columbus Alive’s People to Watch 2013, Nina West.
Positive Negative Press will be onsite printing Pecha Kucha Columbus t-shirts for $10
or you can have your own shirt screened for $5. Strongwater’s kitchen and bar will offer food and drinks for purchase.
Alcoholic beverages may be purchased by patrons who are 21 and older.
Free parking is available in the lot just east of the building and along Lucas Street. Carpooling is encouraged.
Limited seating will be available, so attendees are encouraged to bring folding chairs.
The suggested donation upon event entry is $2 per person, benefiting Pecha Kucha Columbus.
