We are announcing our first Student Juried Exhibition. The exhibition will take place September 3rd-October 28th and will be displayed in the Columbus Metropolitan Library. The juror is Julie Abjinac, a Columbus College of Art and Design faculty member.
Entries will be accepted until August 17th. Any media that can be displayed on a wall will be considered. The artist must be a student. All students are welcome, but member students do not have to pay an entry fee. Non-members must pay a $15 fee to enter.
We will notify artists if their art was accepted on August 20th.
Drop-off for art will occur August 25th-31st.

The Massillon Museum has posted a call for entries for their 2013 Stark County Artists Exhibition. It is open to present and former Stark County residents as well as those who are currently working in Stark County. It is a juried exhibition with prizes. All media will be considered. The fee is $10 per artwork or $20 for 3. Because they are only accepting mail submissions, a pdf of their mailing has been attached. See the pdf for more information about the exhibition.

Ohio Art League member Judy Takacs will be showing her work at the exhibition The Dress Says it All! at BAYarts in Bay Village, Ohio. The show, curated by Denise Stewart, features dresses designed by artists in their chosen medium.
The reception for the show is this Friday, July 5th, from 7 to 9pm.

The X*ACT Gallery in Xenia is hosting a “Scenes of Xenia” juried art competition. “Scenes of Xenia” is a juried Multi-Media Art Competition and Exhibition that will ask local artists to create new, completely original works of art during the months of July and August 2013 based on scenes from within the city limits of Xenia, OH or inspired by the City of Xenia.
