Here… And There

City Of Columbus
Tom Baillieul

City of Columbus, a Tom Baillieul painting of a Ford Trimotor above Columbus in 1929, has found an appropriate setting: Port Columbus. The airport was constructed in 1928-29, supporting the vision of Charles Lindbergh for coast-to-coast passenger air travel. Various paintings by Baillieul, a central Ohio artist, have been put on display in the exhibit “Here . . . and There,” through Dec. 6 at the airport. The works are situated in the central ticketing area, near the Cup o’ Joe stand. – Columbus Dispatch
